Denisov Dmitry Alekseevich, born in 1952. Address: Moscow region, Shchelkovo-3 (Chkalovsky settlement). 3 years ago there was an operation, they opened the skull - an aneurysm burst. Didn't speak for 3 years.

On August 9, 2015, I bought candles in this monastery, prayed and left. Went to a friend and started talking.

That's actually all the news. As they say, neither subtract nor add. Is there any need to write more about this? The best thing in such cases would be to just keep silent, but still, I think, it is necessary to make a few strokes to this sketch from a person's life.

Behind these dry facts from a person's life, in fact, lies the great beneficence of God.

First, a little about the disease.

A cerebral aneurysm (otherwise known as an intracranial aneurysm) is a small lesion on a cerebral blood vessel that rapidly enlarges and fills with blood. The bulging portion of the aneurysm can put pressure on the nerve or surrounding brain tissue, but the aneurysm is especially dangerous when it ruptures, allowing blood into the surrounding brain tissue (called a hemorrhage).

A ruptured aneurysm leads to bleeding in the brain, causing serious complications, including: hemorrhagic stroke, damage to the nervous system, or death.

The mere fact that a person survived in this situation is already a real miracle. After a most complicated operation, the servant of God Dimitri got up and began to walk, but the gift of speech never returned. As practice shows, after any serious injury or operation, the probability of restoring the functions of motor or speech function drops rapidly over time. This means that if the dynamics of recovery is not observed at the very first time, then it becomes more and more difficult to put it into practice.

Here we see that 3 years have already passed - this is a long time. Dmitry Alekseevich himself said that he no longer hoped to speak. But the Lord judged differently.

Dmitry Alekseevich visited our monastery several times, and August 9 was not his first visit to the monastery. Note that the miracle happened exactly on August 9 - in the memory of the great martyr and healer Panteleimon. On this day after Divine Liturgy the abbot of the monastery mentioned that only in his priestly practice he witnessed many cases of miracles and healings that occurred from the martyrs. Panteleimon. Now we are witnesses miraculous help flowing through the prayers of the holy healer.

Note the circumstances of the miraculous healing. The man just went to the temple, prayed and lit candles. “Went to a friend and started talking.”

What does all this mean, and what benefit can we gain from this case?

Of course, such a miracle is a big “advance” to a person who will still need to work out. The gift of speech is one of the main differences between us and dumb animals, and in this case, we now have to work hard to properly use the opportunity to speak received the second time.

But the gifts that flow from the generous hand of God are different. In addition to the above, the Lord also often visits a person through illness and sorrow. Here you need to understand that illness and healing are blessings that have one source - the Creator of the universe. And their goal is the same - a call to a person to change his life.

There were many people at the service that day, the church was full. But one R.B. was healed. Dimitri. Why? Because the Lord decided so through his saint - the Great Martyr Panteleimon! This does not mean that all the rest, sick and suffering, were unworthy. This means that the Lord is near, He knows EVERYTHING and gives each of us the best and most useful things possible.

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever”(Heb. 13:8). Just as in the days of the gospel preaching and the earthly life of the Savior, great miracles were performed, just as in the lives of the saints we learn about healings performed through their prayers, so today all this is real and alive. Like the very first Christians, you and I are members of the holy Church of Christ, which even the gates of hell will not overcome (cf. Matt. 16:18)!

Holy Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon, pray to God for us!

"Vlada"

In one family from the city of Kremenchug lives a girl Vlada. This story began in 2013. The letter was sent by her mother Lyudmila.

She writes: “My daughter became very ill, spent a year in a coma, I dreamed of St. Luke. As I understood it, he himself introduced himself and said that his name was Archbishop Luke, and that she should come to him. In the morning I began to search the Internet about the holy Archbishop Luke, I read a lot about him. But how to go to him in Simferopol? My daughter is sick, I can't leave her!

A few days later I was told that the relics of St. Luke were brought to our city from the monastery of St. Paisius Velichkovsky. My joy knew no bounds! I asked the clergyman to serve a prayer service before the relics of St. Luke for my daughter. After some time, the daughter regained consciousness, gradually began to recover. I know that St. Luke himself healed her. After all, he himself came to us!”

"The Miracle of Giving a Child"

The parishioners of our monastery Elena and Sergey Goncharov, residents of the city of Inkerman (a suburb of Sevastopol), for ten years in marriage could not give birth to a child. The pregnancy failed early. Sorrow and despair brought them to our monastery. Having told about their grief, they received a blessing to confess and take communion every Sunday, pray together at home, lead a Christian lifestyle and daily read the Akathist to the Most Holy Theotokos “The Chosen Voevoda”.

Every Sunday, this family attended a divine service in the monastery, partaking of the Holy Mysteries of Christ. After the Liturgy, they remained in the church for a long time and prayed on their knees at the icon of the Mother of God "The Acolyte". The Queen of Heaven heeded the prayers and faith of this family, Elena conceived. For a long time hiding the fact that she is pregnant, not believing in her own happiness. But the time came and it was already impossible to hide the pregnancy, she arrived and told the Viceroy about the pregnancy. Joy knew no bounds. Continuing his rule of weekly communion and reading the Akathist, the time for the birth of a child has come. A healthy boy was born. They baptized the boy in the monastery, calling him Cyril.

In gratitude for the miracle sent, the Goncharov family left a medallion with the image of a newborn child and the signature of the name.

The miracles in this family did not end there. A year later, on the day of the Entry into the Temple of the Mother of God, the Lord sent them another daughter, who was baptized with the name Mary.

Faith works wonders! (year 2014)

"Birth of Matthew"

The Mother of God abundantly pours out Her Maternal love to everyone who comes to Her with faith and asks for Her mercy!

So in our monastery a new miracle happened with the young family of Natalia and Nikolai Kravchina.

Natalia, for a long time, could not conceive a child. She received a blessing to take communion weekly and read the Akathist to the Theotokos daily. The Lord and the Mother of God heard their prayers. Natalya conceived a child, in due time gave birth to a boy, in baptism he was named Matthew, in honor of St. Matthew the Apostle, since he was born on the day of his memory.

In gratitude, the family hung up a plate-medallion with the image of a baby with the inscription "NK" (Natalya Kravchina)

Another miracle is connected with the name of Natalya K.. Natalia got thyroid cancer. Fear, horror, a young woman who recently gave birth to a long-awaited child ... But faith and God's mercy work wonders! Natalia prayed in front of the reliquary with the relics of St. Nektarios of Aegina, having passed regular tests, the doctors found “that there was no swelling, and they themselves stated a miracle”

Great is the Lord when with faith they come to Him and the intercession of the saints!

"Lyudmila"

The mother of our parishioner Yulia, Lyudmila Nikolaevna, received terrible news that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. There were examinations, treatment, chemotherapy. They turned to the monastery for help and a request for prayers at the relics of St. Nektarios.

We went to Kyiv for treatment. After part of the course of treatment, it was found that the tumor "disappeared". Upon arrival home, in Sevastopol, Lyudmila immediately arrived at the monastery and thanked St. Nektarios of Aegina with tears in her eyes. She presented her earrings to the relics. (2015)

Pilgrimage groups from the southern coast of Crimea come to the monastery on Thursdays for Akathist. Among them is Lli Elguzhiaevna Pantsulaya, the doctors diagnosed her with mikaz

Through prayers at the relics of St. Nectarios, after being anointed with oil from the lamp at the relics of the saint, Lily received complete healing. Doctors confirmed that she is completely healthy. (2015)

"Miracle in Cyprus"

At the end of May 2016, at the invitation of Metropolitan Isaiah of Orinia and Tamasos, we brought to Cyprus an ark with part of the holy relics of St. Luke of Crimea. There we witnessed several miracles.

First miracle.

A man called to the church of St. Barbara, where the relics of St. Luke were arriving, and in an alarmed voice asked the rector, “Who is Luke - a doctor who should come to visit you? The rector told him that in a few days the relics of St. Luke were being brought to his church. The man promised to come and tell everything personally.

On the day of the meeting of the relics, this man also arrived. Here is his story:

“I dreamed of an elderly man in a white coat, with a panagia on his chest. He said that his name was Luke and that he would soon be visiting Cyprus, in the church of St. Barbara. Come to me, I will cure your sick wife.

My wife is really sick, the diagnosis is “psychiatry”… I brought my wife, her condition was very serious. But she became completely healthy ”(later doctors really confirmed that the woman was completely cured).

Second miracle that happened in the temple, I myself was a witness to it. (archim. Gabriel)

A thirteen-year-old boy was brought to the temple, in a wheelchair, diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

The Greeks have a tradition procession with an icon or relics, people pass under an icon or relics. So it was this time. The boy, with the help of his parents, was led under the icon of St. Luke, and in front of the eyes of all the numerous people, the boy straightened up and began to shout loudly that "St. Luke just touched me!" The boy was healed.

About these miraculous cases, Metropolitan Isaiah himself reported in writing to His Beatitude, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, with gratitude for the opportunity for thousands of Cypriots to venerate the great shrine - the relics of St. Luke of Crimea.

“Just believe, and the Lord, through the prayers of St. Luke, He will definitely help you!”
Lisa's story...

Everything happened in September 2016, when, at the invitation of Archbishop Michael of Geneva and Western Europe (ROCOR) and with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine, with the support of the St. and the sorrowful of the Crimean land. The ark with part of the relics is stored in the Stavropegic monastery of St. Paisiy Velichkovsky in the city of Sevastopol. Once this particle was donated to our monastery by the ever-memorable His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir.
So, in September we arrived in Geneva. Archbishop Michael received us warmly, everything was organized, many people came to the Exaltation of the Cross Church in Geneva to venerate the holy relics. One weekday, when there was almost no one in the temple, a young woman came. She prayed at the ark for a very long time, wept. I served a prayer service and after that we talked with her. She told her story. That for six years now, doctors have diagnosed her with infertility. A sentence for a woman ... Her family life gradually began to collapse, all her dreams of a happy family life, gradually began to fade. And here is her only consolation and support, this is the temple of God. And she asks Saint Luke for help. Her story touched me. I don’t know why, but I advised her to immediately go buy flowers and bring them to the relics of the saint. Only necessarily such flowers that she loves herself ... I myself do not understand why he said so. After some time, Lisa came and brought several huge pots of chrysanthemums. We placed them at the relics and again served a prayer service to St. Luke. You cannot imagine with what strength she prayed, it was felt standing next to her!
I cut off several inflorescences of chrysanthemums, attached them to the relics and gave them to her with the words: “Only believe, and the Lord, through the prayers of St. Luke, He will definitely help you!”
She took off the ring and put it herself in the reliquary.
We left. But sometimes I remembered Liza and, if possible, commemorated her at the Liturgy.
And so, on January 20, 2017, Lisa called me. She told me that she had been looking for my phone number for a long time. Crying told that she had been carrying a child under her heart for three months. She thanked and said, “I know for sure that it was St. Luke who helped me! Flowers from the relics are always with me. ”We agreed with her that if she gives birth to a son, she will name him Luke, in honor of her Heavenly Doctor, who begged her for a child.
I pray for her and ask you all to remember Elizabeth in your prayers so that her pregnancy goes well, and she gives birth to another Christian in this world - whom the holy hierarch surgeon Luke Krymsky begged for.
Here is a story of Lisa from Geneva.

Christmas Miracle!

What miracle can be expected at Christmas?
With what it can be connected? Of course with the birth of a child!
And this is a miracle.
On the day of the Cathedral of the Most Holy Theotokos, the second day of Christmas, January 8, 2020, people came to our monastery. At first glance, nothing strange, young married couple with an infant. But it turned out not to be so simple. The young mother stood for a long time miraculous image The Mother of God “Quickly Hearing” cried, showed her baby to the Mother of God and said something to Her, a diologist of two mothers ...
Leaving the temple, the woman took off the ring from her finger and placed it near the icon.
As it turned out from the conversation at the temple, this married couple came to our monastery last year specifically to pray at the miraculous icon. The prayer was about one thing, about the birth of a child. One hope for the Mother of God. And then a miracle happened! A daughter was born. And the young parents came specially for Christmas, just like a year ago, only not to ask, but to thank.
Here is the letter that mommy left with the ring:
“Once I came to your monastery to ask for help and blessings from the Lord God and the Mother of God. Near the icon of the Mother of God, the Quick Listener prayed and asked for the most precious thing in life, for a healthy baby! Thanks a lot! Low bow! We arrived with our daughter on 08.01.2020 to put candles in gratitude. Believe! Pray! God is always there!” A resident of the Stavropol Territory who wished to remain anonymous.
Here's another Christmas Miracle!

Vladyka, in their publications, some priests reproach parishioners for being lazy and not striving to visit holy places, venerate relics, or venerate miraculous icons. If you are not at all drawn to go on a pilgrimage somewhere, does this mean that something is wrong in a person’s spiritual life?

In answer to this question, I immediately have an analogy with visiting relatives. Still, the saints are our relatives, people close to us, however, not according to the flesh, but according to the general big family- The Church of Christ.

Well, everyone has a different relationship with relatives. For someone, it is vital to meet regularly, communicate, correspond, call up, that is, maintain constant contact. Others do not need all this; it is enough to know that there are relatives somewhere, maybe to congratulate each other on holidays, without feeling the need for frequent meetings. And not because they don’t love their loved ones, it’s just that everyone is fine, unless, of course, relatives require special care or help. In my opinion, this is completely normal, since each person has his own measure of the need to communicate with relatives.

Similarly, a Christian has his own measure of addressing the saints. Some people feel that this is extremely important and necessary for them; they rejoice that, having traveled literally an hour by public transport, they can pray at such shrines, to which earlier, in times when there were no high-speed vehicles, our ancestors traveled for six months on foot from different parts of the country. As, for example, to the Reverend Caves Fathers in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.

For other people, it is enough just to know about the saints, to resort to them in prayers, to ask for their intercession in prayer as the need is felt. Everything depends on the needs of the person and the Church is not regulated in any way.

At the same time, we must remember that in the spiritual life there are indeed things without which it is impossible to be saved. These are the Sacraments of the Church, and first of all - the Sacrament of Communion. Christ in the Gospel said: “He who eats My Flesh and drinks My Blood abides in Me, and I am in him” (John 6:56). The Lord clearly warns: those who do not partake of His Flesh and Blood will not have life in themselves (John 6:53). That is, if you want to be with Christ, you are obliged to take communion, you are obliged to proceed to the Sacrament.

It happens that parishioners say: “Although I read the prayers for Communion, but today I’m not in the mood, maybe I’ll take communion better next time?” In such cases, I usually answer that this is not the time or place to express my feelings and emotions. After all, we know that the enemy of our salvation is doing its job: in every way it seeks to turn us away from the holy. Therefore, the idea that today we are not in that mood, that we are not ready, that there is not enough contrition, reverence, is brought to us by the enemy. If we succumb once, he will continue to inspire similar things so that we do not approach the Chalice.

I have said many times: we take communion not because we are worthy, but precisely because we are UNworthy and need God's help, so that the Lord would change us, make us better. The most terrible day in our life will be the one when we consider that we are properly prepared and ready to receive the Holy Mysteries of Christ. That we partake worthily. This will mean that we no longer feel the need for the Lord to change us. That they have lost the feeling about which Christ spoke in the Gospel: blessed are the poor in spirit.

Beggars - who is this? Those in need. "Blessed are those who need the Holy Spirit, the support and grace of the Holy Spirit." And we, it turns out, no longer need this support, we are already doing well ... This, indeed, will be scary.

Therefore, our task is to commune as often as possible with the most important shrine in the world, in the entire universe: the Sacrament of Communion of the Body and Blood of Christ. And everything else - the prayerful support of the saints, a reverent attitude towards them, the veneration of shrines - depends on the dispensation of each individual person.

If people feel that they need to go to holy places, if they strive to visit them as much as possible, the Lord will send His grace-filled help through the holy places. If a person does not have such a need, the Lord loves and accepts him as such.

Calling priests to visit holy places is like friends recommending a good movie to each other. "Go and have a look!" - the person himself received positive emotions and advises others.

So we, knowing how the saints act in our lives, what help they provide both to us and our parishioners, at every opportunity we call people to visit the saints as often as possible and ask for their prayers.

For example, our Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. Greatest shrine! The prayer of the Monks of the Caves heals people suffering from a variety of ailments - both bodily and spiritual. And to combat almost any sin, among the Caves reverends there are, so to speak, "profile" saints - those who managed to overcome this or that passion and now, according to the word of Scripture, "he himself was tempted, he can be tempted to help" (Heb. 2 , 18).

So, for deliverance from fornication, you need to pray to the Monk Moses Ugrin; if they overcome acquisitiveness and attachment to things - to the Monk Aref; if non-peace and enmity with neighbors - to the Monk Titus Hieromonk, and so on.

Reading the Kiev-Pechersk Patericon and other hagiographic literature, we see that the enemy is not inventive: at all times he sets the same traps, and the number of tricks he has - like in sambo or karate, is limited. And that by which we are tempted has also overcome the saints. But they came out victorious, and we now read how they gained victory, and, being edified by their example, with God's help we can win too.

Of course, their prayerful support is needed and important for this. Therefore, we call: dear ones, take advantage of the fact that we have such a shrine! Seek help from the saints, they will definitely help.

We should pray, but the weather is bad and there are a lot of people

It happens that as soon as you are going to the shrine, either fatigue, or doubts, or some kind of stubborn unwillingness, or excessive employment does not allow you to bow to the holy place. Why is this happening?

We should not forget that everything in our spiritual life always encounters opposition from those who do not like our spiritual work. As you know, the best "sleeping pill" is prayer. If we can read fiction as much as we like, almost until dawn, then spiritual literature is given with great difficulty. You have to force yourself in every possible way; often it’s hard to start reading, and when you start reading, some important things immediately come to mind, or you suddenly feel like sleeping, or tasks arise that need to be urgently solved.

It’s the same with visiting shrines: it’s clear who doesn’t like it. Even if we understand with our heads that it’s time to go and pray at the shrine, our heart says something completely different: oh, I’m tired; I have important things to do; either the weather is bad, or there are a lot of people there today ... That is, there are a variety of excuses.

In this case, you need to “turn on” your head and recognize where these thoughts come from. Be objective about yourself and your condition. To understand that there are real reasons, but there are those that are the fruit of our self-pity, relaxation, and therefore a reason for spiritual struggle. After all, if we encounter opposition, if the enemy does not want us to do some good deeds or, as in this case, go to the shrine, then we must, on the contrary, force ourselves, force us to do what we really need, but out of laziness not I want to.

What does the opposite extreme mean - excessive zeal, when a person travels all the time to temples and monasteries, collects trips, as well as "spiritual" souvenirs brought from different places?

This is more typical of neophytes. Probably, all of us, on the path of our churching, have gone through a period when there are dozens of icons dear to our hearts in the home iconostasis, calendars with temples and monasteries on the walls, and we wanted to spend all our free time only on trips to shrines. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. Just as in the period of falling in love a person behaves emotionally, often committing even extravagant acts for the sake of the object of his love, so in the period of falling in love with the Church, everything connected with the Church arouses special zeal in the believer.

However, if the stage of the non-stop pilgrimage is delayed, this is a reason to be wary. This is usually what people who don't read do. patristic literature, do not have a confessor, but build their spiritual life according to their own understanding - as they want and as they see it. Sometimes this can turn into a real spiritual problem. But in Christianity, unlike Soviet psychiatry, there is no compulsory treatment, so we can only pray that the Lord Himself will lead such people to the knowledge of the Truth.

The Lord wanted to comfort - and comforted

How does a shrine "work"? It happens that a person came for healing and did not receive it. And the other, on the contrary, did not think about anything, but came and was healed. Is there a relationship between the feeling with which to come to the shrine, and what will be the result? And what to do if you believed, but did not receive what you asked for?

IN Holy Scripture it is said that "the Spirit breathes wherever it wills" (John 3:8). The action of the Holy Spirit, including through the sacred, cannot be explained, programmed or predicted. The Lord, unlike us, sees the situation as a whole in the entire universe at every moment and knows better what we need. For someone, healing from an illness will radically change their life, a person will begin to live in Christ, according to the Gospel. And someone, on the contrary, only illness can keep from terrible sins, the abyss of passions and death.

Therefore, to think that it is worth taking a series of some actions, and you will get such and such a result, is extremely reckless. Our main result, for which we go to the temple, is eternal life with the Lord. This is the end result we are aiming for. Everything else is intermediate stages, scanty and microscopic in comparison with Eternity.

And just getting rid of the disease often occurs when we do not ask for it. I remember one case. When only relics Reverend Seraphim Sarovsky was transferred to Diveevo, in the fall of 1991 I went on a pilgrimage to the priest in his monastery. It was November, it was already cold, but I bathed in all the springs and prayed at the relics of the monk. I did not set myself any special task then. There was simply a great desire to visit this amazing saint, to pray at the relics of a man who pleased God with his life, he really was a fiery Seraphim, comparable to angels in burning and love for the Lord. I didn’t ask him for anything specific, I just prayed: “ Reverend Father Seraphim, pray to God for us!”

And the most interesting thing is that before the trip I had a wart on my arm, the fight against which with various medications did not work. After returning, literally in a day or two, I look: in its place - absolutely smooth healthy skin! At what point and how it happened, I did not record, but everything went completely without a trace, not even a scar remained. With such a small consolation, the Lord wanted to comfort and consoled. I still fondly remember this incident.

Indeed, “The Spirit breathes wherever it wants…” For some reason, He was pleased to perform this miracle for me. Moreover, the healing did not happen because I suffered, but simply to strengthen my faith, so that my attitude towards God's saint Seraphim would be even more reverent.

The purpose of the pilgrimage is to see the example of living saints

What is closer to you personally: to visit as many holy places as possible or still stay at home and pray in your monastery?

When I went to church, the gospel words stuck in my memory that God must be worshiped in every place “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:23). I remember that I had enough laurels, enough Kyiv churches. Unless I wanted to go to Jerusalem - just to understand how, what and where happened in the earthly life of the Lord Jesus Christ. And having visited the Holy Land, I began to navigate the topography of the gospel events.

When, for example, Christ went with his disciples to Jerusalem, He said: “Behold, let us go up to Jerusalem, where the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified” (Matthew 20:18-19). “Ascending” in this case has two meanings: firstly, spiritual ascent - the path to Golgotha. And secondly, the path from Galilee to Jerusalem really goes up all the time. That is, the apostles with Christ literally went up the mountain.

But I did not feel the desire to pray near the Jerusalem shrines (everyone who has been there knows how much the situation around them does not conducive to reverence). For Orthodox person The Holy Sepulcher is the altar in the temple, the altar is Bethlehem, and the Eucharist is celebrated everywhere exactly the same. Spiritually, in any temple a person receives the same grace as in Jerusalem.

But if the Holy Land is more of a "museum", a reminder of the events that took place there two thousand years ago, then the Holy Mount Athos is life. People there live by the Gospel, preserve the way of life that hundreds and thousands of Athos saints brought to the Kingdom of Heaven. I want to communicate with them, to see them - first of all, in order to understand my own spiritual worthlessness.

After all, often, if we do not have fellowship with those who are much higher than us in spiritual life, then we fall into some spiritual complacency. We begin to think about ourselves: everything seems to be fine, I am no worse than others, everything is fine with me. There is stagnation in the spiritual life, and this always implies subsequent degradation.

But when you communicate with saints who live the way monks should, you understand that your way of life is very, very far from the ideals of monasticism, that you need to work more on yourself, control yourself more, acquire the virtues that you lack. This lack of virtues becomes obvious, palpable. Seeing the example of living saints is exactly the purpose of the pilgrimage for me.

Interviewed by Yulia Kominko

Miracles of healing have always been awe-inspiring. They believed and did not believe in them, they were looked for and waited for. People suffering from a serious illness, or their loving relatives, were ready to undertake long and difficult pilgrimages just to venerate the relics of a revered saint and other shrines.

Miracles became a weighty argument in favor of the canonization of the deceased righteous people.

Miracles of healing in 1903

In 1903, in Moscow, in the Assumption Cathedral, the mantle of St. Seraphim of Sarov was exhibited for veneration. And then several cases of miraculous healings were recorded.

A 30-year-old nobleman had severe stomach pains. In the end, he became weak and could hardly walk. Nevertheless, he hoped for a cure and therefore went to the vigil at the Assumption Cathedral on July 18. He kissed the icon of the saint and his mantle, and upon leaving the temple he immediately felt that there was no pain. Vigor returned to him, and subsequently he became completely healthy.

At the same time, the Ryazan landowner Shatilov brought his relaxed relative to the mantle of St. Seraphim of Sarov. She was carried to the cathedral in her arms, and the next day she stood alone in the service and sincerely thanked Father Seraphim for the healing.

Serafimo-Diveevsky Monastery: healing reviews

Today, as in the last century, cases of healings are recorded to strengthen the faith of those who doubt the holiness of St. Seraphim of Sarov. We are talking about miracles recorded from the words of those who were healed or their relatives.

Here are a few of them.

In 1999, Alevtina, suffering from severe pain in her legs, so that she had to constantly bandage them, came to Diveevo. Alevtina prayed from the bottom of her heart and really hoped for healing when she dipped. A miracle happened and she returned home with her legs untied and without pain.

Shilina Irina from the city Nizhny Novgorod came to Diveevo in 1994. For 25 years she suffered from a skin disease, and after bathing in the spring of Father Seraphim, she received healing.

Oleg Kudryavtsev from Cheboksary was brought to Diveevo by his brother with severe headaches. Doctors found a tumor in the head young man. After bathing in the spring of Father Seraphim, the pain went away. A second medical examination a week later showed no tumor.

And here are some cases where the afflicted were healed of their illnesses after being anointed with oil b. Seraphim. The consecrated oil from the lamp burning at the relics of St. Seraphim of Sarov can be taken in the monastery completely freely in the Transfiguration Cathedral.

So, the believing woman Alexandra was brought consecrated oil from Diveevo. She prayed and anointed her leg, which was afflicted with gangrene, with holy oil. And healed! The miracle was so obvious that it amazed many. The woman is alive and walking. Both of her legs are white, although the previously affected leg was black.

In 1996 there was another interesting case. Seminarian P. from the Trinity-Sergius Lavra could not walk because of severe stomach pain. Then, with a blessing, he drank warm oil from the lamp, and the pain left him. On his second trip to Diveevo, the young man said that his illness no longer bothered him.

What they ask Seraphim of Sarov

In prayer to the holy saints of God, you can express any of your needs and pray heartily. And yet, historically, it turns out that every saint has, as it were, his own "sphere", in which he most often helps those who turn to him. So, Nikolai Ugodnik is prayed for a successful marriage and help in financial matters; Saints Peter and Fevronia of Murom - about family well-being; and diseases of the legs, joints, pain in the back and head.

How to ask the holy Reverend Seraphim of Sarov for healing

First of all, tune in to prayer work and approach it with reverence. Remember that serious ailments are given to us for a reason. Sometimes they are needed to strengthen one's faith (many come to God through suffering). Sometimes such illnesses are given solely for the glory of God - so that through healing people see a miracle. But it also happens that the disease is given as a life test.

Perhaps that is why miracles happen in different ways. For some, help is given the first time, as soon as they find themselves in Diveevo, others have to do prayer work for several months, and even years, coming to the Diveevo monastery more than once. And someone remains unhealed from a physical illness, but receives spiritual consolation, pain relief, patience and peace in the soul.

But no one whose heart is open remains inconsolable. Diveevo is a special place where grace is in the air and miracles are a reality. And yet, Father Seraphim is a very loving saint.
