The decoding of the alignment begins with an analysis of the suit prevailing in the layout. The predominance of one or another suit already tells a fortuneteller a lot (whether events will turn out favorably, whether the planned business will succeed, whether the desire will come true).

Hearts and clubs are traditionally considered good suits, diamonds and spades are bad suits. This is enough for a primary assessment, but this, of course, does not mean that a lot of diamond cards portend only bad, and cross cards only good, depending on combinations with other cards, the same card can have different interpretations.

Nevertheless, a large number of peaks or tambourines in the layout portends that on the way to the fulfillment of desire, the fortuneteller will encounter many obstacles and the desire, most likely, will not come true. When fortune-telling, not only the card itself is taken into account, but also those with which it lies in the neighborhood, since combinations of cards sometimes significantly change their primary value individually. In the book you will find characteristics of both the card itself and its combinations with others. Be careful not to miss these important details in the layout.

Layout "Carmen"

For this layout, they take a deck of 52 cards, shuffle them, lay them out into 12 packs of four in each, and put the thirteenth pack aside and do not work with it. All packs are arranged as shown in the figure.

Then they take a row with three packs, which include the pack of interest to the fortuneteller. The cards of each pack are laid out so that they form one of the sides of the so-called magic triangle, indicating the past, present and future (the upper horizontal side of the triangle is the future, this is the first pack of this row; the left, going down, is the past, this is the second pack; the right side going down is the real one, this is the third pack).

In the center of the triangle, a fortuneteller's card previously extracted from the deck is placed.

Fortune telling on cards with the help of wheat grain

This divination was very popular at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, and a deck of gypsy, or stingray, cards was usually used for it.

Take a deck of 36 cards. The fortuneteller’s card is found (we have already described this process), placed in the center of the table, the deck is shuffled, removed, one card is taken out at random and placed face down, “on the heart”.

Then stacks lay out two cards “at the feet”, “in the head” of the fortuneteller, on the right, on the left and in the intervals between these pairs - a total of 16 cards. The remaining deck is dealt with as follows: three cards are discarded, one is placed on the fortuneteller’s card, and this is done four times until five cards are “on the heart”.

Then they lay out the cards lying around the fortuneteller's card. At the end of the layout, the cards lying “on the heart” are laid out and deciphered their meaning. Particular importance is attached to the cards closest to the center, first of all the top cards, and then the side ones. The bottom cards are of lesser value.

Cards lying "on the heart" speak of the near future. The predominance of peaks indicates pending difficulties and experiences, and the figures suggest the perpetrators of misfortunes. The abundance of the suit of hearts testifies to the blessings and joys awaiting you.

A pair of bottom cards "over the head" and three pairs to the left (top, middle and bottom) portend the near future; "Under the feet" - the fleeting present and what is, and what will be and will pass, if these are any current troubles (illness, financial difficulties).
